Bright & cheerful

Happy Monday All!!!

I hope you all had a super weekend. My son called round to see us on saturday. He`s going to make it a regular thing so that if City are away he listen to match with his dad. I`d better start stocking up on Jaffa Cakes and crisps again then lol.

My card today is another quicky almost exclusively Pink Petticoat. The dp is elegant swirls and the digi image is pretty potties again.
I decided to use sunshine colours because...well I just love `em.
I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and added some glamour dust to the flowers.
The border is my MS Doily punch and I finished off with my usual ribbon and bow.

Thanks for looking Lynne xxx

Pretty in pink

Good morning all.
Happy Saturday!

Just a quick card today. I raided my very neglected Pink Petticoat digi stamps and papers for this one. I don`t use them half as much as I should.
The image is PP Pretty Potties. I`ve coloured with watercolour pencils and got my glitters out for a change too. I used Glamour dust on the flowers and finished them off with a small gem.
The paper is Pink Petticoat too finished off with a border punch and a little bitty ribbon and bow.

Thanks for looking Lynne xxx

Leafy tags

Happy Friday to you all!

Well we didn`t get the snow that was forecast so that`s ok with me. We just got dull and cloudy which isn`t. I need sunshine. I sometimes think I must be solar powered. I feel much more energised in the sunshine!

So... my card today is my take on one I found on " Clean & Simple" cards. I have used pastel, spring like colours to cheer me up.
I made this one a DL card with PaperMill shop Hammered White card.
I stamped Papertrey Turning  a new leaf  stamps in Pink, Lilac and sky blue and punched them out with a gift tag punch from Woodware.
I used a Fiskars border punch on pink and lilac paper and layered it.
I used some blue gingham ribbon over the top and tied a large bow.
The sentiment stamp is also from Papertrey.
Have a great weekend. Thanks for looking Lynne xxx

Sunflowers

Happy Monday!

Now I know that Sunflowers are an autumn flower but I really needed something bright and cheerful for these gloomy february days.
This is from my new set of Papertrey ink stamps called Autumn Abundance.
They cost me an absolute fortune as not only did I have to pay postage from the states, I had to pay an extra £16 customs charges on top so I think I`ll be getting some good use out of them lol.

The image is coloured with watercolour pencils and cut out with Spellbinders circles die.
The DP is from my stash. I`ve added some gorgeous gingham ribbon and a huge bow. Some flat backed pearls to finish and there you have it. Simples!

Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Valentines Card

Hi All!

I hope you all got lovely Valentines treats today.

I`ve just about finished my mammoth move around now that my son has flown the nest. His bedroom is now (or nearly is) a guest room and my loft is now all mine. Yippee!

I just about had time to whip up a Valentines card for hubby. A really quick card but it says everything I need it to say.
I used white hammered card and made it DL.
The DP is by Pink Petticoat & is from the `tis the season collection. I mounted it onto red card to give it an edge.
I embossed some red card with cuttlebug swirls folder and cut the heart with a punch.
The roses are from my stash. I added a piece of red ribbon but decided against a bow this time.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a spellbinders oval die.

All that work and I didn`t get anything :(   Hope he feels guilty now lol.

Enjoy the rest of the day  Lynne xxx

Get well card

I know I promised not to post any more flourishes for a while but I have been sooo busy this past week. My boy is leaving home today!!!

I am a little bit sad but to be honest not as sad as I should be.He`s moving in with his future in laws and his girlfriend so they can save for a deposit on a house.I shall miss him but I`m sure he`ll be popping around at least once a week for footy. And I certainly won`t miss his mucky washing and cleaning his room lol. So, no empty nest syndrome for me!

Anyway I made this card for my daughters friend who has been a bit poorly recently.
Once again I`ve used the Gerbera Daisy from Flourishes  and coloured it with markers. I`ve added some ribbon and some flat backed pearls. Done a bit of scoring down the side and there you have it.

Thanks for looking
